Quick Update ...
Okay ... I have now spent more than 12 hours doing this dang Petition for Modificaiton and Motion for everything under the sun. Attorney friend suggested slaming BM with everything we got ... OMG, our declaration supporting the motion is 27 pages long, with almost 24 exhibits ... the poor commissioner. But we got BB good! The Petition to Modify didn't take that long, it was all the edits and putting together the exhibits to the declaration that was such a pain ... URGH!!! Sometimes I hate the fact that I know how to do all this stuff for DH, but then I just sit back and think of all the money we saved by me doing it, and then only having atty appear in court - yes, I do know how lucky we are.

Its a pain in the butt isnt it?

I totally understand Lady, as you may remember,We just finished our modifications and submitted them to our attorney. It took me over 8 hours to get it all completed and over 23 pages . My DH is knowledgeable enough to have done them himself, he just works to many hours which is where I come in. Sometimes I hate the fact that I know how to do alot of these legal things as well, but like you said, in the end it does save us money. Good luck with your petition, will say a prayer for ya.

You are very fortunate that you know how to do all of that legal stuff. Just immagine how much money you would have spent in the long run if you would have had to pay someone to do what you did. Just look at the big picture and know that you had a large hand in what your future is going to bring. It will all be worth it in the end. Good Luck!!!
Very lucky ...
Believe me, after having been a paralegal for 15 years, I know exactly how lucky we are and how much money we are saving ... I thank God for our attorney every day that he let's me do all the writing and "legal" work and he just argues the motions for us.
