Disgusted and confused. sort of off topic.
I walked past another manager tonight at work, talking to some of the kids (eg minors, still crew members) and heard this
"Well, when you shoot up dope, it gives you a better high, but doesn't last as long."
I have no fuxking idea what to do right now. If I saw something to another boss/manager, I can't give him irrefutable proof this happened. All they will see is them talking on camera. I was the only other employee to hear this, besides the kids talking to him.
I could put my job at risk by saying something. But those kids are at risk listening to this shit at work! I mean, how fuxking dare he say that shit to them!
what do I do?!

I would have butted into the
I would have butted into the conversation and said my piece. My nephew overdosed in May from heroin. I sure would not have ignored the lethal conversation. Job or no job. I am very passionate about drug prevention and rehabilitation. And just a fyi....most drug addicts are brilliant. Research it.
I would have said something
I would have said something too, but I have had issues with this same manager in the past. Like the fact he hits in any underage girl in the drive thru, has accused me of stealing from my tills, and other bullshit like that. All obviously unfounded.
The sad thing is, no one else complains about him. Its always me. I'm the "mean" manager who's always making them work and not just fuck around all night. He's the "fun" manager who lets them get away with murder, while I'm the one doing all the work.

Yikes...I would have said just tell another manager, but this changes it. It will just seem like you are trying to get him in trouble since he is trying to get you in trouble.
The anonymous approach is the best, but if that does not work, I would try to find other work before he ruins your reputation.
Isn't there a Whistleblowers
Isn't there a Whistleblowers Protection Act that protects people who report illegal activity, things that may be harmful to others etc. Or is that just for government employees?? I can't remember.
I would google images of
I would google images of heroin addicts arms full of tracks and maybe a few that have overdosed, needles hanging out. Make a collage, make copies, and hand them to the KIDS that this asshole was talking to.
What a fucking ASSHOLE.
OMG! At my work the other
OMG! At my work the other day Manager 1 bought Manager 2's bottle of painkillers. But what was really fucked up about it is that they did it at the cash register in front of customers. I was walking up to drop something off and Manager 2 says to Manager 1 "Do you have a bottle or bag, because I don't want anyone to know you got them from me." So I look at them and pills and money are changing hands. I walked away because it scared me. I was worried that the customers would include me. Hopefully the shocked look on my face was enough to let everyone know I did not approve. I later went to Manager 2 and told her I thought it was fucked up that she sold the pills to the other manager. I reminded her that selling her prescription was illegal, and that she had committed a crime in front of the customers.
But in your situation, YOU could get in trouble. It is the proof thing. But I would report it to the Anonymous work line and hopefully he will get popped in the next 'random' drug test.
Human Resources
Does your company have a human resources department or a corporate department to bring issues like this to light? If not, maybe just keep tour head down at work and look for a better company to work for.
