So a few months ago I announced to my family, that I am now going to be TTC.(TCC is a community College! Lol!)

Just this week both my twin and my cousin said the same thing.

I got engaged, they both got engaged with in two weeks of me. They both got married in elopements with in 6 months of that. I haven't got married yet, because I don't want to do an elopement and I actually wanted my family to meet and get to know FDH.

These bitches need to stop stealing my thunder.

I dont care if it sounds petty or selfish!!

My younger sisters are twins and got married within 4 months of each other. The one that got married second would not stop talking about her wedding at the bridal shower and wedding of her twin.

I thought it was rude and insensitive not to allow her sister to have her moment.

I remember a talk show where sister1 said that sister2 announced her pregnancy at sister1's wedding. Some people cannot stand to not have the spotlight on them. The kind of people who will complain of a mosquito bite while someone else is getting a heart transplant. I hate those people.

My SIL and I were pregnant together. It was nice to have someone to compare stories with about prenatal issues. And now we both have little girls who are cousins and only 6 weeks apart in age. It's nice that they'll grow up together. But my SIL and I get along pretty well and don't make anything a competition. I realize some families aren't like that.

I have never been one to announce my/our pregnancy plans. It is nobodies business except yours and your baby's father. So be a little more mysterious and don't tell everyone your personal plans. Then they cannot copy you, can they?

Me too. Hell, I hid my last pregnancy til the very end! Some people knew within the last few weeks, some people didn't know until BS15mos was born. I had a lot of reasons for hiding it, but I still wouldn't announce that I was trying to get pregnant.
