Hating Father's Day this year

DS is not even going to spend time with his dad. Why? Cause dear dad doesn't want to make the drive to see him at the grandparent's house! Freakin' 30 minute drive and doesn't want to make the drive to see his own son or his own dad. Stupid, ignorant a$$.

Then, both SSons are coming over (which is good for DH) but I guess I feel kind of intruded upon as we will be going to my parent's house to see my Dad. If things go as I kind of believe they will the boys will take over and I won't get to enjoy my time with Dad.

UGH!

I have a good BF and a not too bad relationship with the "other women" in my life.

BF is great cause he does not expect me to "lode" his boys any more than I expect him to "love" my son. Respect, yes, love? Not so much. Nor does he expect "happily ever after" and we are fine being happily unmarried.

Step mom to my son is a good person. A little stand-offish to DS but to be expected as he is not hers and I do not expect her to treat hi like he is hers. She and I have not truly had much to discuss so we shall see where it goes after her and the ex get married.

Getting better...or worse?

Well we had a good long talk with the skids. Guess I am pretty scary to them. I don't put up with any type of stuff from kids (I am the adult, my rules override them) but come to find out their mother is some sort of failed psychologist. Funny that. My personal opinion is she is turning them into incapable people who won't be able to handle the really tough stuff that may hit them as they grow. Oh well, not my children so no skin off me. However we did tell them our house, our rules and mother has no say. Period. I think they got the message.

Have 1 son and 2 s-sons.

Son has ADHD and SPD - stress for me big time

S-sons - 1 has ADHD and the other is a whiny brat

Can't seem to like them about 50% of the time. I am a believer in the occasional swat on the rear. I was brought up in a house where we would tease each other and fake punch, etc. (6 siblings!). However, BF got an email today threatening CPS because I teased SS11 about swatting him due to his attitude.

Just about my last straw before I take the brats to task.
