Am I wrong?

SS13 has not been turning in his homework - uses every excuse in the world. Days later, he magically finds it in his backpack. This has happened 5-6 times in the last week. I wish he could pull some money or a trip to Hawaii out of that magical backpack!

So what do you think?

We are leaving on vacation in just a few hours - after I get off work. I like the house to be clean so there's no mess waiting for us when we get home. DH told me not to worry, he would do the last few things while I work. I work from home but it's very hard to get anything done.

I am so done with it already today!

SS12 is digging in the sock basket for a pair of socks. God forbid he match some up while he's looking! I say, "I just put a lot of clean socks in your room. Did you wear them already?" He says in his snotty tone, "Don't you change your socks every day?" DH got after him so I kept my mouth shut. Then...DH and I are trying to have a conversation and he butts in. I came unglued and ending up in the bathroom bawling my eyes out.
We are leaving on vacation tomorrow and I really don't even want to go...Vegas with an ungrateful 12 year old?

Am I expecting too much??

My kids are grown so it's quite possible I've forgotten what to expect (or not expect as the case is here) from a 12 year old. We are leaving on Sunday for vacation and trying to get the house and yard in order before we go. It's always nice to come home to a clean house after vacation and we are having a large group of people over the day after we get home.

WTH?? What kind of mother says this??

I get the last minute phone call to go and pick up SS after his camping trip with Super Mom as I like to call her. I'm already irritated that they all (DH included) just assume that I can drop everything and run when she calls. I get there and have to wait for her to use the bathroom and find headphones, charger, whatever... She tries to give me some story about DH not getting her texts and sorry if I was busy. I just told her a little more notice would be nice next time.

NOT a fan of the SK today...

Before I drive the SS about an hour and a half away for his practice (oh, and hang around during) and then back home, I remind him to do the chores on the fridge. Nothing too hard - pick up your room, your bathroom and put your laundry away - the laundry that I washed, dried, folded and carted to his room. I get the whole eyerolling "you're so annoying" look that happens whenever I ask him to drag himself from the tv, phone, computer...
I hate that I let his snotty little attitude get to me but it's so frustrating! AHHHHHHHHHH!
