How do you know it's her? Has she said something about it?

sounds like one pissed off bitter BM to me.

But either way, this is the kind of anonymous BS I wish we could avoid on this site.

No offense, Dawn. You truly go above and beyond the call. I just think that if someone has to actually register to post, then we can do away with the snarky comments from casual passers-by who have no intention of every investing here. Constructive criticism is something we can all benefit from, being targets for bitchy people doing a fly-by to take pot shots is not.

I agree with you somewhat. However, there are some people that choose to remain anonymous for whatever reason, yet still have so good opinions/advice. If I choose to not allow any anonymous comments then those people get thrown out too.

Also, I don't feel like it would be right to only allow the anonymous comments that agree with us or are sympathetic to our cause. I mean technically that anonymous comment did offer advice. Most of us wouldn't like the advice that she offered but she wasn't name calling.

It's a tough call!!

I read it..And honestly, I saw nothing that would lead me to believe that this was DH's ex wife..She brought up and discussed nothing that wasn't in your blog that she was responding to..But hey, if it is her, OH WELL...

I am sure that my husbands nosey sister in law, (I call her lucifer) will find this sight sooner or later...She spends a large amount of time stalking me and my husband on line..And honestly, I don't care if she or any member of DH's family does find it..

I read it and it seems that either this person read your post and it hit too close to home for her or you're right and it is the ex (in that case, she probably won't fess up unless she slips up and says something). The poster could also be someone who is on the site but didn't want to sign in to write the post (you get more guts to say things if no one knows who you are). Just a few of my thoughts. Sorry to hear that she may have found the site.

I can't say it was her.... It was just my first thought.... It sounded like her...She is constantly poking and causing problems and I instantly felt violated at the mere thought that she may have come accross my sanctuary!
I also strongly agree with Anne.... I just don't agree with people posting anonoumously.... but what can you do?
I also forwarded this link to a few of my close friends to get their thoughts on whether or not they thought it was her.... and they are telling me that by posting on a public site I may be putting myself at risk.... IF the ex did find this site.... or already has found this site (or any of the psycho exes in any of our lives for that matter) can they use our feelings.... our thoughts.... our sisterhood against us? Can they twist what we say in here and use it in court?

I read the original blog, as well as some of your other entries to see why you are so freaked out, and it seems like the BM has her own life with this new guy plus she is a mom to her two kids, do you really think she has nothing better to do than to track you down. Wow she really has some power over you to have you so freaked out, but I also agree with the comment from biodad, why are you using your full name it as if you wanted her to find you especially with your last comment where you were taunting her. It seems like you cause your own drama.

I have my associated Degree in paralegal studies and worked for family courts for a few years..So while I am not an attorney I can tell you that first of all..They would have to be able to "prove" that it was YOU..

Secondly, the judge won't pay attention to it IF they did submit it to the judge..

The judges interest would only be peaked if ABUSE was an issue and it would have to be substantial proof at that..Judges are given a vast amount of paper work, submitted complaints, documents, and accusations in family court hearings..They don't have the time nor the desire to read them all.

Judges have to wade through the emotions by both parties and get down to the facts, requests, and application of the law. What it basically boils down to is that the judge pays attention to what both sides are requesting and seeing if it applies to the law. All of the other stuff just "muddies the water" for them so unless it's abuse or mistreatment the judge doesn't even read it.

They don't care that step mom vented some frustrations on a step family forum..Your thoughts and feelings are not "illegal" or "abnormal" everyone has "feelings" and "frustrations"..Including and especially family court judges!! LOL...

Trust me, you would not be the first Step mom, who had frustrations and vented them on line. Court judges deal with it everyday..What's your blog gonna proove in court anyway?? That your a concerned step mom who seems to care more about your SK's schooling and home work then her own mother does????

In all honesty...BM would merely look like a "petty A$$" if she submitted it to the courts..And in the judges view it looks good for you and DH if that is all BM can find to complain about!! LOL..I wouldn't worry about that to much..

that is a little freaky! obviously a newbie like me had no idea of the power of google. And to think I taught ss the fun game of googling our own names!! Just checked mine and I am in the clear...LOL
re : overreacting....while signed in today I noticed that post, and wrote it off as a nasty- nony invading our "peace" again, but when I saw your response I had to laugh because I though be it your bm or not....or mine or anyone elses it was the perfect response!!! But I must say the above info should be a lesson to all who wish to join the site in an "anonymous way"

Have a GREAT WEEKEND everyone, and enjoy the ones you love!!!!!!!!

I guess I just never really thought about hiding my real name.... I obviously was not thinking at all.... BUT, I think septembers_child is right.... its not as if I am doing anything wrong.... why hide? Nonetheless, I do appreciate the info biodad and will talk with my husband and think about whether or not I should hide my identity.

In the meantime maybe this will confuse the simple-minded BM in my life...

I am really hoping my hubby's ex-wife DOES find this site and read some of the blogs. Although she DOES make our living a living hell when she can - we very rarely give her a chance. She can't withhold visitation, which is what we cherish the most.

The worst that could happen is that she will see some of the horror stories that we have ALL written about and wonder which one is her!! The very least that could happen is she will start to see how evil she has been, begin to think that MAYBE, just MAYBE it might be hurting the KIDS worse that it's hurting US - and she'll begin to mellow out.

(I can hope, can't I??)

Good luck!!
