Ugh, they are back. BUT I GOT THE APARTMENT!!!
I am SO excited I can move in as early as May 1, but there is some overlap, so I won't have to move everything all in one day.
I can cook the food I want, I can have a clean house...and if my bios mess it up? I can make them clean!!! It will be so peaceful without the full-blast first-person shooter games all day and all night, and no SS screaming swear words at the xbox! He won't lurk around creepily, waiting until I see him to lumber upstairs to his cave. I won't have to smell him, or OSD, because I will be in my own place! With clean bio-teenagers! Who do their own laundry and wash themselves and clean up after themselves!
I CAN'T WAIT.
But they just arrived for the week, and I am trapped here in step-hell for one more week.
Moving means my daughter will have to change schools in the fall (she wants to and is on board with the move) and I asked her if I could just have her switch now? But it would be too much of an upheaval for just the last few weeks, and it's not that big of a deal to drive her to the old school for the last month. I don't think it would be fair to move a middle-schooler right at the end of the year.
One more week. One more week. I will take it day by day.
Day 1: they get here. Slam the front door once each, and then once again each on the way back out to get more stuff, and then once again on the way back in. 9 times, the door slammed shut. They stomp up to their rooms and slam each door - 3 more slams.
SS creepily makes his way downstairs to lurk and see if we are going to be using the main TV - if my boyfriend wasn't home he would have already turned it on, because he doesn't care what I think, but he is still afraid of my boyfriend, for now. So when boyfriend sits down in the living room, SS stomps his way back upstairs to his room (which has a perfectly good xbox and TV - he just likes to take over the main living area when I am home, to claim his space - playing video games at full blast and swearing), and slams the door AGAIN. What are we at? 13 door slams. It's been 25 minutes.

How did BF react when you
How did BF react when you told him? If he has someone else already, his woman friend, (doubt she's just a friend) is he as relieved as you are? Or was he upset at all?
