Ready for SD to go home
I know, I know. You all told me so.
I went to the gym this morning and got home right before noon. SD is eating ice cream when I walk in and says she just ate mac n cheese. Great. I walked the dogs and ate leftovers when I got back.
I ended up taking a nap and I woke up to SD texting me saying "when are we going to have breakfast? My mom is coming at 5 and I'm starving." This was at almost 3pm.
#1- we have plenty of food for her to PREPARE HERSELF. That is too much so I tell her that we have food for her to eat. #2- "my dad is getting me Einstein's because you were sleeping." This is a 12 year old kid. She can't make cereal, bacon and eggs, or waffles? That's breakfast!
Annoyed, I tell her that I hope her dad gets home soon because he is still working and usually doesn't get home before 5. Good luck, SD! What happened to kids being independent and not needing an adult to feed them? TWELVE year olds at that!
Edit- just threw something away and she ate a WHOLE pint of vanilla ice cream and jumbo kit kat bar. She is soooo hungry but can't prepare real food? Cry me a river. AND her parents (DH and BM) say she needs to lose weight but don't forfeit the pizza dinners and sugary cereals. Last night, SD picked canned green beans as the side for our chicken pasta. DH tells her "you don't have to eat the green beans." I say "yes she does! She picked them out!"
Update- DH isn't home and BM is due in 30 minutes. How much do you want to bet SD tells mommy how horrible we are (I am) for not making her breakfast and expecting her to eat something else that we have or make eggs herself? She is allowed to use the stove and knows how to use it safely.

I’m going to guess, as much
I’m going to guess, as much as you guys play this close to the heart, that SD will “lose” in whatever you guys go with...
How is she losing?
How is she losing?
hmmmm...
Your idea of mac n cheese and bacon and waffles is no worse or better than Dad's idea of pizza and cereal.
*shrugs* Just saying. Her 'diet' probably has a lot to do with her greasy hair and complexion too.
Meh, not your kid, not your problem. I'm sure after telling BM she has not been feed, Mommy will run her through her favorite fast food for an appetizer and then make her dinner all while mumbling about how rotten a parent Dad is.
Her hair and skin are most
Her hair and skin are most definitely a result of her poor diet. She could've made scrambled eggs with cheese but chose to sit there and be hungry. I don't care what BM and her ugly mug think about me. As far as DH is concerned, I can't figure out if she is still in love with him or hates his guts..
Omg, my almost 11 year old
Omg, my almost 11 year old makes me breakfast on days I am running late.
My point exactly! Why does
My point exactly! Why does she always have to be waited on? Why can't she offer to do something for someone else instead of just taking? Oh yeah, that's how her mother is!.... I guess my H isn't any better.
GD has been making herself
GD has been making herself tea in the microwave since she was 6.
It would be funny if you made something for breakfast that she hates. Something healthy. Lol. She couldn't say you didn't feed her.
