Merry christmas!!

SD came to the family Christmas lunch, with a suitcase! Presented with a fait accompli there's really not a lot I can do. DH said 'she must be ready to follow our rules then.'
MIL prays for us all every night, She was left with the drunken uncle after we left so I prayed for her too!

If this were not true I would not believe it my own self...

Give me strength! SD 19 is texting DH and asking if she can come here until she gets back on her feet. She says she is at a friend's house right now, and that she might have to do 3 months jail time? I did not even ask what for! I am not harboring a fugitive, DH is on chemo and we have way more than enough to cope with right now. SD and her twin brother are 19. They are both a mess, both as bad as each other but SD got caught out more often...sociopaths! I do not want that crap in our house any more. SD was in a halfway house, maybe they kicked her out?

Again??

Surely not?! Checked the bank and unless SS 19's gas ($1.00 amount shows first and the balance is reflected later) was less than $5 he's in trouble. I know it takes time for DH to get to a pissed off point with the boy but I am taking the card this time around! DH took it from him and GAVE IT BACK?? I hate having to watch stuff like that, if I do not then we rack up charges and DH doesn't check it unless he gets a push on his phone that reflects a charge that will put the balance in the red

SS was not at work for days because of his bad back...

His back did not stop him doing other stuff? Just checked the bank and it's in the hole by $40 so DH went upstairs and confiscated the card. Kudos to DH! SS just says 'I didn't mean to!' but he knows damn well that if he gets gas it shows a $1 charge to be amended once it's processed. DH set the account up for him when he was in school, for his checks etc. DH let him borrow money to get him to work until payday, by putting it on that card, which is attached to our account, and this is not the first time he's gone over and put it in the red.

Wondered why SD was so quiet...

DH's phone rang today and it was a number associated with the prison, press (insert number) for the company handling calls etc. As soon as the call came in today DH and I just looked at each other and I checked the inmate docket...sure enough! The infor said she was a fugitive when she was arrested, bench warrants etc. He called her back, she asked him to contact her attorney so we left it at that. It's stupid bullshit that lands her in trouble, EVERY time she goes anywhere near her mother!

Yeayyyyyyy

I got money from TWO nineteen year olds! SS left rent money on my desk and a friend's sister paid me for an item I said 'pay me when you can' for.

I am not going to say a single word to DH...

Since the dishes incident DH chose to clean up after SS's disrespectful, lazy, ass. It is three days hence and dishes are still in the sink, DH is washing, rinsing and draining them at a snail's pace! Now, I am a tad cynical at the best of times and I believe DH is crawling along with them to see if I will just say 'get out of the way and I'll do them!' DH is passive by nature and I am a 'git 'er done' sort. This time around it's going to be MUCH different. There's no food or waste matter in the sink so I really do not care how long it takes for DH to do the dishes.

I do NOT believe this!!

DH is doing chemo. SS 19 is living here, has been borrowing money from his dad right and left and has not repaid a single dime. SS occupies the laundry room for days at a time, leaves his dishes lying dirty and is currently got his stuff spread over Three rooms in the house. I get a little aggravated by it all.
It's a rule that the first paycheck is their own, often it's a partial pay period and it's a feel good thing for kids to have a paycheck, right?

SS has PAYDAY!

Now, it remains to be seen what amount he repays DH. I agree that it's a partial week and a full week's check but DH is looking for the $2.50 we LOANED him to get to work and back until his paycheck came in. The rest is his, to do with as he likes, and thereafter he has to repay DH for the new set of tires on his car. Two weeks until he starts paying rent. This boy does not like to part with his money but he wants to live here with us and not pay anything, or contribute in any way? The rent will be paid to ME! I will insist on that, and it will be paid in CASH!

Thievin' little bastid!

Great that SS has a job, is a volunteer firefighter and all that good stuff. He does not get his first paycheck until Friday, 4th. I had some change and a reciept belonging to a friend in my purse, it's gone! I lost $100 in $20 increments a couple of years ago too. I stopped carrying cash for the longest time too. I know that DH did not take it, he'd ask me if I had any cash first. No one else in the house! I spoke to DH about it and he said he'd deal with it, this time around I KNOW he will not let it go.
