I have been on a crusade to bring some life back into my marriage, which is currently on life support. I have been making my best effort to remember how it used to be, and act that way. I have been laughing at jokes, complimenting, letting go of the bad stuff... hell, I even gave him a very enthusiastic blow job.

So along with these efforts I asked DH to please watch a movie with me last night that I thought was on TV. Apparently I had gotten the night wrong, but it could be rented by On Demand or online for a few bucks. Pocket change. He hemmed and hawwed, and finally said (insert Eeyore voice)"we can rent it if you really WANT to". Like 3 bucks is a big deal.

So we rent the movie, and hop into bed to watch. He moans. He groans. He moves all around. He huffs and puffs. He stands up and walks around and makes big displays of stretching and flops back on the bed. He makes all kinds of melodramatic noises about how uncomfortable he is. He CHECKS HIS PHONE for about 5 minutes until I finally ask him to please put it away. Basically, the message I got loud and clear was "I hate watching this movie with you, you are making me suffer."

But what do I hear tonight??? In an excited voice..."Since we rented the movie and have it for 3 days SS16 wants to watch it tonight, so we are going to watch it in the living room!!!!!" and he grins.

So... watching the movie with me = misery, but watching it with SS is so exciting you nearly pee your pants?
