The Cruise
Imagine if you can a place where you don't have to lift a finger for anything. Everything is clean and you didn't clean it. No dirty clothes on the floor, no wet towels laying around. Clean sheets on the bed EVERY day. Fabulous food that you didn't cook and best of all you don't have to do the dishes. Sound like paradise? It is very much so. You can sleep as late as you want, take an hour long bath and no one is banging at the door wanting in. There were shows every night, I didn't miss a one. I went dancing and I loved it. I miss going out dancing but H doesn't dance. There were a couple of comedians that were okay, need to work on their acts but still fun. Once we got to port I went snorkeling, there are some great places where the fish group up. Layed around the beach all day and was lazy for the first time in my life. Then more shows and dancing at night. That's how I spent 2 glorious weeks and can't wait to go back. Meet a gentleman that looked and sounded just like a young Sean Connery. But all we did was eat together and have a few rousing chess matches. Something else I enjoy that H doesn't. It was nice having adult conversation with a man instead of listening about sd or a stupid computer game or the perfect computer. Sigh I really miss it already.

But you got to do this all by yourself?!? OMG I am jealous! This sounds like an absolute dream! Heck, I would even take DH and Skids to be able to go on a cruise for 2 weeks!

Where do I sign up. DH and I have been talking about doing a family cruise and taking the kids. Now with the whole kids clubs and entertainment areas specialized just for them they wouldn't be constantly underfoot except for meals. We have friends who have 2 boys who are much younger and they RAVED about how much fun the cruise was even with the kids and they got the family and alone time.
I am SO glad that you had a wonderful trip. You deserved it and topped it off with ice cream kisses. THAT is a memory you won't soon forget. Hold on to the memories as things get tough with what lies ahead of you and plan for the day that you can experience these blissful little joys again, hopefully next time WITH healthy and loving DH, but if not...OH well. A girl can hope right.

I think what I needed more
I think what I needed more than anything was to get away and have time to clear my head. I'd love to go away again only this time with H. I told him that if he commits himself to getting better and working on us that I might agree to go to the shore with him and turtle watch. Or maybe camping which ever he wants. I'd really like to have some us time.
