HELP ME! New to the game and going insane

I never knew this would be so hard. My fiance thinks his daughter is so amazing and perfect. I want to throw up. He does not understand how to discipline his kid. I am so discouraged and had to leave my house to stay with my friend because I want to strangle him. He told me tonight that "I guess I just don't think my kid is as horrible as you do". Gee thanks. God forbid I expect your kid to say please and thank you. He always turns it around on me like I am an evil monster who thinks all kids should be perfect.

I feel like I can't breathe most of the time. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to ST! And welcome to my life!! Can't offer any advise, simply because I am dealing with the same bs with my fdh. (Read my last blog you'll see). I've been at this sm thing for almost three years and its gotten harder, not easier. Good luck! Feel free to send me a friend request or pm if you just need to vent. I'm usually here! If I could go back, knowing how hard this would be, the minute he said "I've got two girls" I'd have walked away!! Not to mention our psycho bm! I just got an email from here *again* this morning, its not even light out!! UGG!

PS - don't worry, ONE day, really, ONE day...all their stupidity will slap them in the face... lol They would have WISHED they listened to you...but by then, their pathetic daughters will be prego, in jail, losers, etc...and then it will be you who will smile and say "told you so!" lol Ahhhh...yes, I know I've done this sooooooo many times in the last few years...hehe

Hey there, I wish I could offer you some advise but I am right there with you. I am currently in a situation where it is me and my 3 children, 14 year old boy, 12 year old girl and an 11 year old boy. My CL has two children. A 17 year old boy, who will be 18 in 3 months, and a 10 year old. It is a constant battle between my CL and myself. I am constantly told how my expectations are too high, yet I am expected to sit back and watch him and his X-wife baby his two boys while he tells me how lazy mine are.

I don't think my expectations are that high. I do feel at age 15 a kid should know how to peel his own orange, or cut his own finger and toe nails. When me and my CL first got together, these were task that his oldest son didn't know how to do. His 7 year old was still being showered by his mother! It is so easy for my CL and his Ex to do things for them, that they don't take the time out to teach them. Where I had no choice, my husband at the time my children were young was travelling with work, so I didn't have time to do everything for them. They learned to be independent. And to this day I am thankful for that. My 14 year old has a job, and my 12 year old is becoming a ski instructor. Ask me what his 17 year old is doing???? Playing that friggin World of Warcraft on the computer every chance he gets. He has never has a job, only 101 excuses why he doesn't work!!!!

I have tried to explain this to my CL, and he doesn't get it, he has more excuses than his son!!!

Is it me??? Are my expectations too high????
