ARGH Send me patience NOW
We are picking up SD early today, by prior arrangement for family events.
So DH texts SD to tell her we will pick her up at 12:30. SD texts back and says "Can you pick me up at [city name] hospital?"
Long story short whenever BM is feeling sickly and decides she needs to go to the ER to be seen, she drags SD along with her, so SD can sit in the waiting room and keep her company, and pick up all the stray flu germs. Never mind that BM could call DH at a moment's notice to come pick up SD so that a 12 year old is not stuck sitting in a hospital waiting room for hours upon hours.
DH asked SD if she "needed to be picked up now" and she said no. I said of course she's going to say no, she's got BM sitting there telling her "I want you to keep me company."
DH refuses to call BM and ask her what the hell is going on, or ask if he can come pick up SD now. He says "I am just not going to fight her on this."
FURIOUS again. this is so ASININE!!!!!!!!!
I am furious at BM for being a self-centered bitch who cares more about herself than her child. I am not convinced that she's not doing it on purpose because she wants SD to get sick. I really think this woman is that twisted.
I am also furious at DH who is at this moment sitting across the table from me just going on with his day like nothing.
This is SO SIMPLE to me. You are sick enough to be at the ER, you can't be taking care of your child, and you should call the other parent to step in. If you aren't really sick enough to go to the ER, well then, you shouldn't be dragging your child there to get sick. In either case, if you are the other parent of this child, you should feel totally justified calling and saying "Look, this is ridiculous, my child does not need to spend her entire Sunday sitting around at the ER."
I will tell you one thing, if SD does get sick, I am not going to be the one using my sick time to stay home with her this week.
SO MAD.
