But today, I'm pretty ticked. To re-cap, my ss is special needs and my DH beleives it is the result of FAS. Add to that a lazy BM who refused to potty train him until he was almost 5 (then she had to or he couldn't be in school) and would lock him up all day long because she didn't want her soaps interrupted . . . *sigh*. Ok, I really feel sorry for this kid, his BM is a real POS, but it has finally made a direct impact on my family here.

We have not been able to afford play pen for my baby DD now 7 mo.s old. I was a little hurt about having to use SS's hand-me-down (it is obviously intended for a boy), but I accepted it as part of being in the situation we're in. That is, until I drug it out yesterday and realized that there was very litterally pee and poo all over it!!!!! I mean, the mat pad at the bottom had a huge poo stain on it, there are obvious places all over the netting where ss had peed and smeared poo, and the same for the padding and material around the edges and the top. I litterally just spent two days cleaning it. No, you can no longer tell it was once a resident citizen of the Labyrinth's Bog of Eternal Stench (in fact, it now smells mildly of bleach), but I will not be using it. I will sell it at a consignment store here locally and buy a new one. I just informed DH who thankfully understands my feelings. I feel so bad for ss that this is the kind of mother he has, and now, everytime I look at the stupid play pen, all I can think of is a 2, 3, and 4 year old ss trapped in there for hours, neglected while he played and steeped in his own pee and poo. I am so enraged!
