So, the news of our son has been broken and I was very pleased, albeit a little amazed, how well it was received by SD. Credit where credit is due, she took the news well.
however, this was 3 weeks ago and the tides have now turned. Last weekend was an incredible display of her possession over her father, evil glares - to me if I dared touch, sit or kiss her daddy. Grabbing at him at every available opportunity, to be honest I disengaged and let her have it her way. I am hoping it is just a blip, but I suspect it will get worse!

Right so after a heated discussion this week about the baby and how my OH should spend less time worrying about SD and start becoming more involved with the new baby i thought it would be a great idea to buy a fetal Doppler so my oh could listen to little ones heartbeat.

Dreading her arrival already. I'm a new member and i had some great responses to my first post. Please enlighten me as to why my SD insists on baby talk, attention seeking, climbing all over her dad, hanging off any available body part, sucking up, puppy eyes, constantly showing how good, clever, she is, asking her father to go over and over how 'cute' she is, how she has to tell her 'dadda' that she loves him after every sentence, rolls her eyes after i speak, tries to outdo me at every turn, cries at a drop of a hat if she thinks anyone else is getting any attention.
