BM has been on a continuing mission to get me and DF to agree to let her go with us when we take the SDs and my two kids on vacation. She has sent texts and even put her own daughter up to asking. Finally last night, she called and talked to DF. She told him that she didn't think it was fair that she was going to miss out on the girl's first real vacation. And, she told him that it was unfair to the rest of her kids. At one point, she threatened to just show up at our house. Uh, Hell no! And she even went as far as to say "If you can afford to take them on such a nice vacation, then you should probably be paying me more child support." (Kudos to the commenter on one of my last blogs that predicted this!)

After about five minutes, DF lost his cool. I have never seen him be so blunt with BM before. He said, "BM, CompletelyPuzzled and I both work our asses of to provide for the kids. I am not going to apologize because we have saved to take the kids to ___________. We pay you exactly what the child support order states. Maybe you should stop acting like laziness is a disability and get a job. Stop putting our kids in the middle of this crap. If you show up at my house this summer, I will just call the police and have you removed."

Way to go DF! Usually, he refuses to engage with her, but she pushed him last night. She sent a text saying that she would stop but that she still thought he was selfish. Oh well. She can think whatever she wants. I am not losing any sleep over it.
