I am so thrilled for those of Us Steptalkers that are in line to see this! Hope its not too crazy for you.
Im hoping the skids will not look at the sun without those special glasses!

Here on the west coast we dont have much in the way of viewing - Im still taking the day off to "experience" it

I'm excited. Going to take myself and my 3 year old off and try to see the total eclipse. My husband has opted to stay home with the 18 month old and the animals. Hoping for no clouds and a toddler who gets excited and not grumpy!

Going to remind my bio that I ain't doing ER trips nor taking care of blind people so don't eff around and find out.

Otherwise it should be very interesting

Hoping my sociopathic employers give me my time off for this otherwise I might be right back in the unemployment office.

It's going to go right over my area. We have tickets to be on the baseball field to watch/see it, properly protected of course.

My parent's home is in the path of totality.  Sadly, due to tax season for my DW and my new job, we will miss this one.  I have seen two total ring of fire eclipse events in my life. One when I was in my early teens in the US and one in my early 20s in the Middle East.

The last one, a few years ago, went right over my IL's town.\

I hope everyone in the STalker-verse stays safe, enjoys it, and that no one is cursed with crazy out of towners invading your yard to see if. If they do, I hear the going rate is $300/parking spot plus $50/seat.  Supposedly a major university not far from my parents' is charging that for people to park and watch from the stadium.  That is the scuttlebutt anyway.

The eclipse in 1970... although I don't recall this much hoopla.  We are in the path of totality.
