Hip hooray! Birthday partied out, and SO standing up!
The birthday weekend was pretty much non-stop. Dancing with SO and friends (along with some tequila), a concert at the beach, Island Reggae festival, and then some more birthday celebrations.
Munchkin SD11 was pretty much either at BMs or flitting here and there (she is very popular with a very full social calendar!) and Winona SD18, was either at school and slept at friends house, or at work!!!! Did not see her until Sunday night where we basically ignored each other while she chased after her cousin (girl crush? IDK). Friday was awesome - SO really stood up and laid things out for Winona. She had arrived home at 4, and had to be at work by 5. At 4:30 she is begging for a ride to her work which is 30 minutes away. She had the entire day off on Friday, all day to get home and then get the bus to work, but she slept at her friends house...ok, well we dont care, shes 18, but don't ask 30 minutes before work-time for a ride, not when we are out the door to a concert... She is going to have to learn everything the hard way.
She had to call in and get the stern "don't make this a habit!" and stayed at home.
Sunday morning was a lull, we had our carpets washed. Saturday night, after the festival, SO cleaned Winona's pigsty of a room for her, while she was staying at a cousins house, promising it would be spotless sunday morning (oh really? cleaners arrived at 8 am...) . He bagged everything, and put it into the closet, vacuumed and prepped the entire house, while I slept blissfully.
SO also laid down law of not letting outside dog in for a little bit. He has a kennel, he has family interaction, but we are catching up with his flea meds (missed one month), and SO was bitten three times while cleaning). Of course Winona has to argue, because she likes having doggie in bed with her, where she just lays around. Teaching him her lazy ways. What part of 'fleas in house biting dad' does she not GET?
Arguing is her only hobby. She would be completely without anything if not for arguing.
So, now, resting from the too-much-excitement-for this-old-lady weekend. To get ready for this coming weekend.

I don't get why DH packed everything away for Winona, he simply should've trashed it all...
