So called because of the b*tch BM who will be dictating them. I asked DH today when he was going to figure out which two weeks the boys would be staying. Keep in mind that there are only 3 available weeks left (unless he screws me over but more on that). He didn't really know. So I inquired in an offhand, totally disingenuous voice if he were planning on calling tonight perhaps. He "hadn't thought about it." Oh my word, partners in 12 stepping our way into the nuthouse, whatever is a mother to do? I dropped it, that's what. If he's going to screw me over he's not even gonna GET the chance to kiss me first.

I like planning and order. I like to know what's going on so that I can plan everything from menus to the amount of groceries I'm going to need. But I'm going to let it slide. As for the screwing itself...

Here is my prediction for dog days, 2009. He's going to attempt to give the huffalump what she wants by asking me if they can stay the first two weeks of August. His compromise will be that he will take the week off that my bio kids start school. Not so bad, right? How about my having to drag a mattress into my 5 yr old bd room for bs10 to sleep on so that skids won't keep him up so late that he is tired for school? That's real fair. And just guess how high my blood pressure goes when the skids are still up at 11:00 pm. How about listening to them whine and moan about having to go to bed early, theeeyyyy don't have schooooool. How about I'd like the week before school to do shopping, get everybody ready, get them hyped up and happy? How about after summer I bloody well want an empty damn house for a few days?!

Seriously, pray for me. It's going to be very hard to look this compromise in the face and tell him no. He will understand and will not be angry with me but he will tuck that tail and be the whipped puppy and I hate that. But I have to do it. Help a girl keep her spine! And thanks, as always.
