May be tmi BUT I gotta share!!! ;)

SOO, since our vday was ruined by the kids my mom offered to keep ALL my kids this weekend for fdh and I to get a "do over" (yes my mother should be sainted!)

We dropped said kiddos off at my Mom's Friday night and headed home holding hands and making googly faces over a late dinner. Then drove home and fdh and I got busy and PASSED out!

We woke LATE saturday went to our favorite Mexican place for lunch and drinks. Rented a load of movies for a cozy night in by the fireplace. UNTIL.....the kid next door came over and asked if my dd's could go roller skating w/her.

At which time I look at fdh and say "Let's go roller skating" AND WE DID!!! Neither of us has been on skates in over 20 years and it took a hot minute but..... it all came back!! I was pretty bad ass on skates back in my hay days. I haven't had that much fun in a LOOOONG time! It felt like we were kids again!! Skating and making out in a dark corner!!! LMAO

We came home, lit the fire and had a couple glasses of wine and made love like we were crazy teenagers again!!!

I was sad when it ended sunday evening Sad But, fdh and I connected again. We are so good together and I thank God every day for sending me this blessing that is my FDH!

Awesome!!! I love those wknds. Had a fantastic one myself with bf we were definTely busy Smile so much fun!!

Good for you. My Mom offered up help when BM bailed on a needed 2 day vacay (for SO and I). I just freaking love my Mom.

As a guy I have to agree with the having to date your spouse perspective and having to do what we did to get you to keep you.

I make sure to do "random" romantic stuff for my wife. When I crack open and new planner each year I flip through it and write in "Random Flowers", "Random Card", "Last minute limo, dinner, show", "Random jewelry", "Random Plane Tickets" (to visit her family). I know, not really random but it prompts me to make sure to date my amazing bride and surprise her with recognition of how appreciative and blessed I am to share her life.

Thanks for all the responses. Yes, it WAS an amazing weekend! It made us look forward to when it is just the two of us ALL. THE. TIME. Lol. I love my kids, and I'm enjoying watching every stage of their growing up. However, I can't wait for them to be adults and on their own!
