Well Yesterday was my daughters birthday and it went great. My husband and I decided since it was so close to the summer visit schedule we didn't want to mess up the weekend schedule so my ss7 didn't come. (my ss7 live and hour and a half away so we weren't going to have him in the car 3hrs round trip to come to an hour and a half 1yr olds party) My mil was peeved she thought we should have stuck him in a car for that long for it but my husband told her no. I was so proud of him. She was saying she was going to call his ex and go and get him herself and my husband told her "no, its my kid, my decision, and you should not be calling bm, that is my job not yours" So that shut her up, she came yesterday and was somewhat falsefully cheerful, but behaved herself. My daughter looked so cute in her disney princess dress with its little tutu. She had a wonderful time and so did I, My niece and nephew were on there best behavior and because of the kind of kids they are they showered my daughter with attention and even told my mil how special she was and that it was her birthday, they brought her her presents and didn't complain they didn't get any, and they let all my family focus on her for the day. My ss7 would not have done that, he would have been mad to get no presents and would have tried to get in every adults face, even my family. So it went great, my nephew is 1 week away from being 5 and is autistic but a joy to be around, he is the sweeetest boy I have ever met and he kept kissing my daughters hand and telling her she was a princess, it was so cute and you can tell she just loves him. She can only say a few names, mommy, daddy, Abby(our dog) and his, the two of them seem to really bond, maybe the autism allows him to be more innocent and relate to her but when the two of them are in the same room its like they have there own form of communication and its amazing to see. All in all everything came of perfect, even the barbie doll cake I make to look like Aurora from sleeping beautys gown. Thank you for all your comments on the previous blog they were very helpful, I ended up just going with don't want to mess up the schedule ideas and it worked beautifully. Thank you all
