Stepparents like this give us a bad name.

This guy murdered his young stepdaughter. I wish that he could spend every day behind bars, since the death penalty isn't on the legal books in Canada. She was a little girl with her whole life ahead of her.

To the guy who murdered this little girl:

You are a disgusting, worthless waste of oxygen and I hope you rot in he!!. You should have sought professional help or looked for a stepparent support group site like this one. As much as some of us dislike our stepkids, we would never kill them. Instead, we come here to vent. If you had done that, that child would still be alive. However, you decided to kill her, and may you rot in he!!.

Just had to get that out of me. I feel better now.

Poor girl and poor mother too for having to deal with the guilt of a dead child for the rest of her life because she picked a loser to marry.

I'm in Canada..not that it matters...but there is guy here who killed his teenaged step-daugther a few months ago. He had sex with her and then stuffed her in the box spring of her bed, and then pretended for days that they were looking for her... he's a cad. These things make me sad!

Oh, I am sure that the upstanding Canadian inmates will make sure he services a bunch of his inmate bretherin in the shower then dies in prison probably in a most unpleasant and tortuous manner. Even gangbanger murdering felons don't abide child molesters and child murderers.

Justice will be done.

People like this guy should be feed feet first to a pen full of ravenous pigs .... alive!

Best regards,

Unfortunately, I think he'll be put in protective custody, much like the serial killer BTK, who murdered 10 people (including 2 little kids). Like you said, even prisoners have a code of ethics and don't tolerate child abusers/murderers.

I have to say I'm disappointed in several justice systems, including those of Canada and the US. We have the death penalty here in CA but it's rarely ever used because of all the appeals the inmates file. There was this guy in San Diego who killed 2 teenage girls recently. I was hoping he'd get the death penalty. However, he got life without parole, so at least we won't have to worry about seeing him on the streets again. 10 years before he killed these 2 girls he molested a 13-year-old girl. I don't know if they have him in protective custody or not (I hope not). I hope that he is getting and will get some good karma from other inmates.

As for the Canadian guy, I hope he dies in prison and that it's a slow, painful death.

That article is very sad. He is 29, she was 5 and her 8 year old sister and mom are now minus one member of their family. There's just such sad stories about children and parents or stepparents. I mean seriously, your a step parent you can walk away from it all if you can't handle the stress of being a step. If you're a bio no can give the kids to a family that doesn't have any and wants kids. There are many other options than to kill them! Maybe you think people will look at you as a bad parent or step for walking away from the kids. But think about what they think of you after they learn you are a killer! Obviously not in his right state of mind.

The guy is bipolar and was originally going to plead not guilty by reason of mental illness but decided against legal advice to plead guilty and spare the family the trauma of a trail.

Although its true that the max. sentence in Canada is 25 years, we now have dangerous offender designations that can keep a violent criminal behind bars for the rest of their natural life.

Ever since the closing down of mental institutions, the number of killings directly related to mental health issues has gone way, way up.

Very sad.
