Sorry to be a blog hog but I saw the Brady Bunch on TV last night

and was laughing at how unrealistic that show is.

If anything, I think that show contributed to the notion that stepfamilies have to be one big, happy family. That stepkids and stepparents are supposed to adore each other and vice versa.

I believe Mike Brady was widowed but I don't recall anyone every explaining what happened to Carol's husband.

Maybe Mike offed him and no one talks about it.

Brady's are fabulous! I would LOVE to see a Brady Bunch remake where everyone is totally dysfunctional & the boys hate Carol because she can't ever replace their deceased mother. Causing Carol to go insane because Mike keeps defending the boys acting out so he has an affair with Alice.

There was a script floating

There was a script floating around of the Brady Movie (with Shelley Long and Gary Cole as Carol and Mike), that was very dark and dysfunctional. Too bad that one wasn't made instead.

Funny huh? I saw the new

Funny huh? I saw the new Bachlorette the other night and when the guy and his little toddler son stepped out of the limo I seriously YELLED at the tv "RUN GIRL!!! He may be cute but he's little and there's a BM and at least another 15 yrs of child support! RUN YOU DESERVE BETTER!"

From what I've seen of the previews for future shows, this guy seems like an ass and I don't think he'll last too very long.
