It's 5 o clock somewhere!!
Whew. What a week. The skids are going through the growing pains of the new CO which puts us having visitation now Sun-Fri instead of Tues-Fri. Not a big change, but after spending the weekend with BM and her filling their brains with poison, it's been a rough first full week. Next week is our last week of this visitation however, as summer begins a week on week off schedule. Hopefully the summer will bring us some time for them to get used to the idea for next school year.
I worked a LOT this week, hence my not being on much and bitching and complaining and all the little bs that's been going on. I just dropped the skids off at school however, went and tanned, came home, showered, and am now heading to my best friends house with a (few) bottles of sparkling cheap wine, and a bottle of baileys (it's barely 9am after all and I feel coffee would be more appropriate at this hour :)). It's been a couple of weeks since my friend and I have gotten together and I fully expect to be there all day chatting. I have a pedicure date with my grandmother tomorrow afternoon, as well as a massage booked after that. I plan to hang out with DH watching Netflix Saturday evening/in to early Sunday morning, after going out for drinks with his partner at work and his wife Saturday afternoon/early evening. And then Sunday evening the skids will be back at 6. I told work I would be there at 5pm to finish some paperwork/surveys/employee evaluations before hitting the admission floor from 7pm-7am. My favorite shift to work admissions!! We get patients all hours of the day/night and the ones that (are usually brought in by law enforcement) come in late/in the middle of the night, are usually the easiest, or the most interesting.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!! I'm sure I'll be on here and will probably post about my shitty past week sometime this weekend, but for right now I'm reveling in my joy of not having to deal with this for 71 hours as I won't see the skids until Monday morning at approximately 8am. Ah. Breath of fresh air in, yucky crap from week out.

Oh I get every Friday after
Oh I get every Friday after dropping them off, every Saturday, and all day (if I dont work it's at least until 6pm) Sunday during the school year and during the summer I get an entire week at a time to myself!!! During the summer it isn't going to be as easy obviously but I try, and luckily have the ability to, work most of the days we have them so while yes I still get them ready for school, and make them dinner, give them baths, homework and what not before I leave for work (my friend sits at the house with them until DH gets home), I still plan my days off for when they're not here. I find it's much better for my own mental stability, and that is better for everyone
