Well, I'm back.....and still alive and kicking!!

The countdown to actually physically being in the same room as sd21 seemed to speed by, and in the end we actually spent, in total about 7 hours with her and sap bf, over the whole 24 hr period.
We kept it social, we met at a pub and had a couple of drinks, I didn't have to talk directly to her at all, I talked to younger skid and sd21's sap bf. DH was next to me, with sd21 the other side,so I caught DH's convo with her. I was mentioned A LOT by him, he was talking about health and fitness, praising me for my weight loss and exercise routine.....daggers from sd21 towards me. He could obviously SEE she lied about her diet and weight loss, she is bigger than ever, and dressed like a grungy student ( this was a girl who spent hours in front of a mirror, a few short years ago !!) I was chatting away to the others, my PF happily slapped on, feeling very good, hehe.... DH mentions me again, and every now and again he like holds my hand or pats my knee...bigger daggers from sd21 !!!

I can hear HER convo too, she is babysitting ( I think this is the job she mentioned ages ago, don't know if it's true ) and hopes to work the Summer in a local shop ( sd21 working full time ??? Won't hold my breath !!!) Though I am super pleased she DID say this, as he stops paying her rent this time next year, so her saying that she will be doing all this work, will surely help DH when the guilt strikes.... And it will !!!
Sapbf, was just what I expected..... Enraptured by the hype of sd21, and really nothing I or Dh can do about it, or care to. DH said he seemed harmless, and seemed happy with sd21.

Dinner in the evening was ok, I dressed very well, I had chosen the restaurant, and though it was on her turf, her village, DH and I were a united front. I did hear DH invite her over to visit, but I don't see that happening this year, he extended the invitation to younger skid too. Though DH and I are madly busy now, way into later this year, so I don't think it'll happen.

The bad news is that DH did say he found the trip stressful, he much prefers to fly the kids ( these ARE Adults ! Grrrr !!) out to us !!! I was hoping that him flying to see them would solve a few problems and allow me to remain disengaged. Also, DH did say to me, that I read too much into the stuff skids say, especially sd21... See this is why when you are disengaged you do not EVER bring skids into the convo, as it's a lose lose situation for the SM . Unless, sometimes, DH brings them up first and asks you a question..... But I'm staying neutral on that from now on too !! DH will never see things from my side of the fence, I know that, he enters guilty Dad mode and sd21 can do no wrong ! It was still clear, that she is his favourite as I was watching how he acted around her and the younger skid....very different.... As I always said it was....

I don't read TOO much in it, I live in the REAL World, where sd21's stupid fantasy World means nothing to me anymore, I'm realistic to understand she is an ADULT , makes her OWN Adult decisions, and has to live with the outcomes of them too...... I guess to my DH , happy with his head back in the sand, and with distance between him and the skids again, he feels happy with his rose tinted World.....sigh.......
