Does Your DH Act Happier Since Disengaging?

I have noticed that since we have decided to disengage from the skids, my DH is much happier! 
He is down right "friskier"! 
Yes, skids, your daddy and I kiss, and hug, and we even have S-- and have seen one another in the buff! :O
Has anyone else had this happen? My DH seems so much less stressed, and he is able to relax and really enjoy things more now.
We should have done this YEARS ago!

The lack of worry over having
The lack of worry over having to try and navigate the minefield of seeing the skids in person seems to have helped my DH relax. He speaks to them on the phone once-in-a-while, but they are not welcome here, and we do not plan on going to their homes either.
He loves them, but speaking on the phone - at least for now - seems to be enough. As I said before, there is now the absence of our having to try and deal with the skids in person.

Them skids were hell bent on trying to get their own way all the time, then sulking and pouting when they didnt....in the end the bm bitch tried to get it co that my DH see them eow just by himself and not with me .... dunno what I was supposed to do...
anyway he said NO...not gunnu happen and the little shits didnt like that....not getting their own way they chucked their hissy fit and we aint seen them since....by the way I cracked up and told them they were not welcome round here for such a suggestion....and my DH backed me...
Damn them....and yep...we can plan holidays without them, plan weekends without them and I cant wait to entertain friends for dinner without the misbeahved somewhat juveniel dillenquent skids hanging around
