I have to admit that finding this site was a blessing and a curse. Although I do appreciate that I now have a chance to vent to people who will listen and not criticize me for not loving my SS, it is also very difficult to read some posts because it makes me fear the future.

Well, after hearing everyone comment about reading STEPMONSTER and how much it has opened their eyes, I went out and got it. I have to admit that the first paragraph of the introduction has me sweating bullets. 70% of women who become involved w men who have children will end up w a failed relationship? :jawdrop: Divorce rates are 50% higher for people w SK? :jawdrop: Higher risk if you are a childless woman marrying a man w a child? :jawdrop:

I feel like I should be asking you all if anyone has a good divorce lawyer! lol. I hope this book gets better!

parts of that book i went right on through without reading. there were some good points in there and there was some that i didn't even comprehend because i found it boring.
it's just like this website. read all the comments, think about them and then make your own decision on how to proceed. the one thing in common about our situations other than we're all steps and generally not happy with the skids is we find our way to deal and make things work for us.
