BMs and bedtime, part 2

Mamma Jamma's picture

Well, turns out it doesn't matter when Sybil calls...called this afternoon while they were out playing. Alls well, DH tells them to come inside (after 2 hours outside mind you) and SD melts down. "Noooooo I hate you I hate SS I hate (MJ) I hate everyone waaaaah!" The last time they were out playing she was told it's time to come in, she whined a little then was fine. Total bratty temper tantrum this time. Screaming, backtalking her dad, the works. Even threw in "I wanna go hooooome! I miss mommy!!" well ya know maybe she does, probably does, but she NEVER mentions mommy unless A: she just talked to her or B: she doesn't get her way. DH says he clearly sees Sybil's manipulative tactics in her.

She plopped in front of the TV, which I promptly turned off. Probably a bad idea in retrospect, but her dad and I said well if you go back you're not taking anything with you we bought you. It'll stay here for when your visit. She started listing new stuff off, and I said yep, staying here, to everything. She said good I don't want it anyhow. In reality, neither her nor her brother will live anywhere but with us until Sybil is stable. If that ever happens. She will never take us to court to get them back, because her food stamps etc will get cut if she reports what DH and I had been sending her. I'm sorely tempted to contact them and tell them 2/5 of the household aren't there anymore-quite sure she's "neglected" to tell them.

I fixed their dinner and put her in a bath, earlier than usual. She wanted to play a new game when she was done, I told her no she doesn't get to play it, not after the way she talked to her daddy earlier. She said ok fine I take it all back, and told him she was sorry.

Seriously, if little miss had her room already, her heinie would have been in bed at that point. We are gonna try to finish it in the next couple weeks; needs a carpenter to get it safe though :(. Old peeling crumbly plaster.
