the Letty visit and now the funeral
So - BabyVoice and Karate Kid successfully avoided the Beast last week when they went to see Letty. The aunts told the Beast that she could come at a certain time, and since she lives two plus hours away, the skids had plenty of time to see Letty. Letty was not awake and non-communicative, so BabyVoice sang to her and played her some songs on her ukelele. She really has turned into a very sweet girl.
After the visit, the skids went to dinner with the Beast's Dad, SM and the aunts. They planned for how they will handle the funeral situation, but they didn't really come up with anything super solid.
This morning, as I was driving to work, DH texted me that Letty died early this morning. I have a full day in court today, so I haven't had time to text BabyVoice or KarateKid, so I don't know much more than that.
DH said that he texted the skids, and that he has already heard from both aunts that they are working on a plan. They also said that they heard through the family grapevine that she was "furious" that she didn't get to "see her babies" - so I sure hope they come up with an iron clad plan for the funeral. I won't be the least bit surprised if the skids ask DH to go with them to the funeral - there is no way the Beast will approach them with DH sitting right there....
We shall see...

Yeah - I think it did for sure. The Beast's SM texted me today that the entire room, including the nurses, were sobbing when she started singing to Letty.
