Getting Help
Hi all,
Well, with so many different issues on the burners, I decided to try and get some help to get things sorted out. I called the MD Dept of Child Suppt Enforcement today to talk to an officer about the ongoing issue with my husband and his ex about the lost support payment. She says that it will take more time than it will be worth--many months for his ex to ever be seen by the court system and basically the case should be thrown out by the judge because it has no merit. Basically, she has been yanking his chain, which is what I've already told him. So, I will go ahead and do the procedures for tracing the lost payment. This isn't the first time that his ex has tried to pull something like this.
Next, I went to the orthopedist today and waited over 2 hours for the doctor to show back up from lunch. I really did't find that he was all that and a bag of chips. He really couldn't give me any definitive answers what was wrong with my ankle other than a couple of guess that I had one screw loose from the original surgery and possible two other loose screws but wasn't sure. Then he said, well, you may want to get the metal plate removed as well. I pointed out to him, none of my pain was where the screws were so why did the screws need to be removed, (except for his desire to make money?) Then he also says, well, since I really don't know why you have pain, while I have your ankle open, we can put a scope in there, and take a look. Personally, that doesn't make me feel much better. I think I just wasted my afternoon and a couple of hundred dollars on xray films. Fortunately, I've already hit my insurance deductible for the year.
I am more inclined to just be treated by someone who isn't into invasive treatment. So, I'll look for someone else myself. Additionally, two of my lab tests came back negative for Rh and ANA so I am back at square one and have two month more to wait for a rheumatologist to get help for swollen joints and joint pain. And, I have absolutely no reasonable answer for why my ankle collapsed twice within a two week period. So, I am trying not to be upset but I plan on looking for someone who cares about their work and their patients.
This morning my cell phone was ringing and I am guessing it was my husband's ex, once again, calling and hanging up. She won't leave a message, just wants to be a total nuisance so I just turned off my phone.
When we went to court the last time, she had moved in with her new boyfriend, and she would not give us a landline number, stating that we could not contact her on his phone. We could only contact by cell phone. The court allowed us to be treated like some kind of freaks like this. So, when we recriprocated this arrangement, she didn't like it, but would never leave a message but only say she called. My phone log has no register of her ever calling at all. My husband's ex, has been determined to be intrusive of our lives, like she can't understand, that he has a life, has moved on, and absolutely hates her guts. He finds her revolting. Need I say more? Honestly I don't even think that both of the kids are his. And, I bet I'm right. My stepson looks like my husband, but I don't know who my stepdaughter looks like. And I know for a fact that my husband's ex, was an adulterer. My husband is so naive, it's like he fell off the turnip truck. The whole thing just sickens me.
Just tell me....how can some people, like the exes just not get it, that the ex-husbands want absolutely nothing to do with them, find them disgusting, distasteful, revolting, repulsive, and wish like hell they'd never met them? How can these women just not get that they are not wanted? I don't understand how some people can be so twisted and hard headed. I guess it shows that there are all kinds of people in the world.

My husband feels the same
My husband feels the same about his ex. It just stinks that we have to deal with her for at least 7 more years until my stepson is 18. But I guess in reality we will always have to deal with her.
I hear you about the adulterer part. My husband was never married to his ex but they broke up because he caught her cheating on him. However, we are pretty certain that stepson is my husband's child. They weren't together very long when she got pregnant. Plus, my stepson looks a lot like my husband(thank goodness!). Now, I will say that not too long after my stepson was born, biomom got pregnant again. She chose to not have that child, going against what my husband wanted. My husband, of course, assumed that it was his. I, on the other hand, have my doubts and figure that that's why she didn't want to have the baby. My husband was told that she didn't like being a mother and didn't want to do it again. I guess we will never know the real truth.
Sorry to hear that you didn't find out anything about your ankle. I know that can be frustrating!
