I am ready to give up...

minerva385's picture

Hubby and I are due to be out to see my SD in a month. We just found out that BM has moved. She won't tell us what the address is, but that it's still in the town they are living in and "not far from where we lived before". Seriously lady? That doesn't tell us ANYTHING.

We had planned, that on our trip out to see SD, if we couldn't get a hold of BM, we would just show up at her house. BUT, we can't do that if we don't know where she lives. I am pretty sure we know where HER in-laws live and I may still have the address for HER own mom, but I don't know if that will be helpful. Her in-laws hate her. They believe and have witnessed the tramp that she is. The psychotic behavior that she puts her own children through. From my understanding, the in-laws have no relationship with their own son anymore, because of her. They may help and "narck" on where she is, if they know.

I am at my wits end. I don't know what to do anymore. We can't afford to hire an attorney and fight her on this. Hell, even if we could, from what I've read it is doubtful that the courts would even enforce the custody order.

We will still go on this 1200 mile one-way trip, partly because my dad lives along the way. Hopefully we get to see SD. If we don't, then I give up. It is sad, but I can't continue obsessing over this. It is sad because all of my and Hubby's future children will have a sister they will never know.

I don't know what else we can do...

does the state have online land transfer records? if yes and they own, look it up that way. also, does hubby have access to school records?

She doesn't own. She and her husband are not anywhere near stable enough to own their own home. This is the third time they've moved in six months! SD isn't in school yet. She is 5, but she is a November birthday. She isn't in pre-school either because BM won't pay the $25.00 a month to put her into pre-school.

Send a letter to her old address and request address correction. I think there is a nominal fee - or contact the post office in her town and ask. They might provide the info for you. I hope that helps.
