Candy is Crack :)

minerva385's picture

Hubby and I mailed a Valentine's Day package to SD this week. It should be delivered to her today, according to the delivery confirmation we requested. I have to admit I get a slightly, not so guilty pleasure, out of sending SD candy. I mean, I am aware that candy is pretty much crack for kids and since SD tends to lean more towards the super hyper active side of the spectrum, she should provide BM with LOTS to do when she opens her present. HA HA HA Smile Take that BM!

PS...I also put a gang of glitter in SD's card. When she opens it, the glitter will probably go everywhere. I have no doubt SD will love it! Similarly, I have no doubt that BM will hate it. HA HA again BM!

Sometimes it just feels so GOOD to be devious ;-P

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that enjoys sugaring the skids so the other parent can deal with it.

Ha Ha...that's funny. Thank you for the idea! For Christmas we got SD a drum set and finger paints. BM forgot about the paints, SD got into them, painted their dog and then blamed it on her little brother. Hubby and I laughed sooo hard when BM told us. LOL.

Hmmm, I'm sensing a theme here. My cousin always gives my two BDs peeps for like every holiday. OK, those are PURE SUGAR!

Here's another good idea, depending on SD's age: My mom gave my BD a play-doh set with about 50 small pieces, plus the play-doh. BD wants to play with it all the time, and I'm always having to retrieve the pieces and put the play-doh back in its container before it dries up.

But this is my own family doing this to my own kids!

Ha! I forgot about playdoh. We actually gave her some of that for Christmas too. Not much, just a couple containers of it and one little shaper thing. I personally LOVE playdoh. We have some at home because I wanted to play with it lol.

I like these ideas of fun *cough* *cough* evil things to give the steps. Keep 'em coming!!!

Thats great! I will have to remember this for when SD gets old enough for this kind of treat. FH gave SD1 2 cookies as she was leaving yesterday and BM looked pissed. Its not like they were bad ones, they were the white Oreo's with the white cookies. But you know anything to make BM's day, sign me up... Smile

Bake sugar cookies with the kids, and for frosting use white with dye in it. Then lavish the cookies with dye, put in a baggie... and let them enjoy at home!

I don't think this is devious one bit. Its a Christmas tradition in with my mom to do this. We included my sisters 3 stepsons in this two years ago and they had a blast. It was their first time making cookies. My sister repeated this at this last Christmas and once again a hit.

Its great for bonding and just having fun. They were sent with some home to their moms and she didn't seem to really mind, other than the fact she thought we were taking her moments from her... My sisters SS's are 4, 6, and 8. I think if she was going to bake cookies with them it would have already happened... lol... We use lots of sugary toppings too, sprinkles, colored sugar, cinnamon things, icing. If your gonna do them, do them right Smile
