Glory outdid herself Thanksgiving
I’m a planner. I like to know plans for the next day, especially if other people are involved and/or affected by said plans. My BF knows this about me and I am slowly getting him on board. With 5 kids between us – only makes sense, right?
Wrong! Glory was supposed to pick up Minion at 9:30am on Thanksgiving. 9:30 rolls around. 10:30am….11:30am…..12:00pm….1:00pm. I am freaking out by this point. What am I supposed to do with Minion? I texted my BF and told him that I was dropping off Minion at his parents’ house (which is where we were meeting up later for round 2 of TDay).
1:15pm and a car pulls up. Carl runs in the house and I yelled for Minion. Carl looks at me like I’m insane and asks why I was yelling for Minion. I told him that I was told that his mom was to pick up Minion at 9:30am (4 hours before) and that Squiggles and I were leaving for my parents’. He bolts back outside, then comes inside and yells for Minion. At this point, I’m helping Minion get his shoes on. They leave and we leave for my parents.
I am pissed by now. I know that if they hadn’t happen to stop by, I would have been dropping Minion off like an orphan. Two days prior to all of this, my BF gave Glory my cell number so she could text me when she was on her way. And don’t you know, my cell rings 10 minutes AFTER she picked up Minion. Why call me after? To spin some stupid story? I didn’t “recognize” the number, so I didn’t answer. Who knows what would have happened if I had answered, because I wouldn’t have kept my mouth shut.
This fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants crap is going to end, if I have anything to say about it. The idiot has 4 kids!!! How can she not plan shit out?!!!! And if plans change let people know!!!! WTF!
And this is not the first time Minion is the forgotten child. I want to wring her neck. The only thing important to her is her.

That would drive me crazy
That would drive me crazy too.
Our BM is similar--no consideration for others or their plans, it's all about her and her convenience.
She might tell us "I'll be there at noon" and then show up hours later with no call, no text, and no response when we try to contact her to find out what is going on. The other day she picked one skid up to help her our with something that "wouldn't take long"...after waiting 4 hours for her to return to pick up the other skid (no reply to texts asking what time/how long/etc), we finally left the house to run some errands with skid in tow, then got a text "on the way".
Over, and over, and over this crap happens.
I can't wait for the skids to be able to drive.
