Not sure what to do
So my mother came into town over the weekend to visit. She wanted to celebrate our bio sons belated birth day cause she lives out of town and could not be here. My wife is convenced my mom doesnt like her an isnt the case. Our 2 SD's 12-13 feed off of mom and don't pay any mind to my Mother. My mom makes a effort to bring gifts and stuff for the girls so they don't feel left out but it still feels like a battle. My mom left yesterday and now my wife is all pissed at me saying i put my mother on a pedestal nd don't show any attention to our SD's. Its very hard to accomidate both sides feelngs. Anyone every have to go through this?

So, you're supposed to ignore
So, you're supposed to ignore your mother, a guest, while she's visiting?
What exactly does your wife think you do wrong when your mother is there?
It's hard to know what to say
It's hard to know what to say without more details. Can you give any?
From what you have posted it sounds like your wife is an unpleasant person but I'm guessing you actually like her so maybe give us more details so we can understand what was going on in her head?
It is a common complaint of one spouse that the other aggrandizes some other relative such as a mother or child (mil/step to the complaining spouse) and often it is justified. So her having that complaint sounds like it could be legitimate.
But the mil bringing gifts for all sounds very generous and warm so that indicates wife not looking so good.
I feel more details might help us understand who is truly out of line here.
