Fun Little Twists ... EVERYWHERE!
So my SS11 is back home now since school will be starting soon. BM was very upset he chose not to live with her for the next school year. The transition from her to us was much easier this time. He isn't acting out or talking extremely loud. It's been great! I've been working with my doctor on my own issues.
So on one of my last posts I mentioned things my SS has been coming to me with. The sleeping arrangements have changed. He is no longer on a couch but is not in the basement (that was cleaned up) and is sharing with his BS. This is actually something that will work in our favor. My state has a LAW that once a child reaches the age of 6 they are to have their own room. My SS is 11 his BS is 6 .... so yeah. There's that.
I unfortunately did not get the job I interviewed for, but it's okay I'm looking at going to school just have to fix my vehicle so I can make it every day.
Things have been moving very smoothly. It's been awesome! The next fun step, how long will it take BM to start calling and texting about him being there for her birthday. (Which she was already told to pick him up that weekend since I can't drive out of town.) Then the fun times of "Well it's Friday I'm on my way be there by 5" and not showing up until after 9 PM. Oh well guess we get to cross that bridge when it shows up.

Her profile says Kansas. All I could find was this (although this is technically about foster homes): "Separate sleeping rooms shall be provided for children over age 6 who are of the opposite sex."

i would schedule a consultation with an attorney before making any move that could potentially be illegal and result in a dfcs call. but i'm highly doubtful. i shared a room w/ my step sis from the time she was 8 until she was 19.

SS is sharing a room with his
SS is sharing a room with his bio sister? Usually, the law about opposite genders having to have separate rooms only applies if the state is involved in some way. Is BM receiving any state aid?
