Great! Now the other one flips out...
My life is a nightmare, part 2: SS15 has taken off in the truck to drive over to a friend's house. In our state, that's not legal.
SD17 has not run-off, after last nights situation (see other posts). She did shuttle brother to and from his ballgame, and brought his friend home with him. I guess SS and his friend decided not to wait around for the friend's mom to get him from here, and SS took the truck and drove his friend home.
SD didn't want to get into trouble, or bug me since I'm sick (doc's orders- stay in bed before full-blown pneumonia sets in). She did call DH who is still out of town on business. I learn all this cause I can hear her yelling on the phone at someone, and from listening in from bathroom vent can tell she's yelling at her dad...
Crap, so two teenage boys have stolen our farm truck and driving on flooded dirt roads.
DH told me not to call, so I'm not.
I have half a mind to call and report it to the police.
And then part of me is saying to myself that it wouldn't have happened if he had really laid into the kid when he took the truck for a joyride back in July...
*********************************************************************************************
DH just called, I even debated answering the phone. I guess son got to the first creek that was flooded, and drove through it, flooding truck. He panicked and called his dad- who's freakin' 600 miles away on business. DH calls his brother to go rescue the two boys. He reports back to DH and says the road was flooded so bad, he wouldn't even cross it, so he was circlin' back around the other way to get to the boys. DH said he talked SS and really had it out with him. Then he called SD and asked if she knew where her brother was, and she said that she'd brought him home from game, but she didn't know where he and friend were- she thought they may be out shootin' hoops on our court. (In the rain?)
He know tells me again for the 3rd time this week, he's done and something has to change. "She's a liar, just like her mother, I can't live with her anymore." He said he's already talked to his parents about her going there, and they don't want her, knowing the lies she told that involved them the night she ran away almost three weeks ago...
He has no clue what SS was thinking, but says SS was really upset when DH pointed out he put both their lives at risk- and that if there had been an accident and the friend died, his life would legally be over, and instead of finishing high school and college, he'd be in prison.
Fine, something's gotta change. So quit saying and do something about it!
(And I think it's funny my brother in law has to go to the rescue cause he is also a divorced dad but he so does not guilty parent, and he's always telling my DH how he needs to kick their a$$es into shape!)
