Its finally over...SD moved out yesterday...I was able to outlast her...

So she packed up and left with nothing to say to DH while I was at work. DH tried to act ok but I knew better. He asked if we could go to his favorite diner up the street for dinner and then we went for a late night shopping trip at Walmart. Now we live in small town and there is only one Walmart shared by three small towns in the area. This always cheers him up because he sees the weirdos that come out and it sorta makes you feel classier..LOL! We actually saw a guy picking his teeth with an ornament hook that was still attached to the ornament...OMG!!!!

Anyhow, this morning he was upstairs remodeling SD'ds room already...he went to Lowes to pick out paint color etc. Men they just do things differently I guess. I would be balling my eyes had one of my babies left. So things are calmer already...but still hush hush as the other kids don't know what to make of the situation. We are trying at least.

The kicker yesterday was MIL was having a welcome SD dinner at her house and had the nerve to call DH and invite us. SERIOUSLY!!!! My MIL is officially wacked! My mom told me we should have come and brought party hats, horns and fireworks to celebrate.

Will keep you guys posted. Have a FABULOUS holiday. I am looking forward to Christmas morning with all my appreciative babies smiling and laughing and no bah humbug SD to deal with!

Well, so your sd left, its fine, her decision, you didn't kick her out. Now she will have to take full responsibility and BE an adult. Wish her luck in the real world.
Your MIL is wacked! And if sd is moving there, we'll see how mil likes it after several months.
Question...would you take her back now that she has left?
I made it very clear to my dh that i have no interest now in having his daughter live with us ever. Totally against her living after 18 with us...she lives with her mom . I actually get along with her , its my dh behaviour that drives me nuts when she is around. So for peace in my house, i told him, she will never live with us...sorry. That's reality. And she keeps saying where we live sucks now and her friends are her best buddy in the world...etec...ah the teenage illusion of life...lol..
