Do judges take good notes?

We usually do not have a transcriptionist present in our family court conferences with the judge. She told us all last time that if BM messed up one more time, she would be back to supervised visitation indefinitely.

So BM messed up and the court has asked that she provide all kinds of documentation that she's clean and going to AA meetings. This sounds like they want proof that she's TRYING. Why would the judge care if she was going to revoke the unsupervised visits anyway?

I'm doubting that the judge noted her ultimatum and does not remember it. Does this happen?

What should DH do if the judge says she's going to give BM "one more chance" again?

What you're all saying infuriates me. So I should just prepare myself for "one more chance" for BM...

ugggghhh.....hearing you say this makes me sick. If BM gets to keep primary custody of ss after everything she has pulled since Jan even I dont know what my DH will do Sad

Except for the steno judges don't usually take any notes unless there is a contested point of law that s/he needs to research before rendering judgment.

You can squeeze it in at the very beginning by having your attorney say to the effect "Despite your honors statement at the last hearing that there would be no further chances she still went ahead and....... Of course if he asks for proof that he said that you'll have the transcript at hand and marked.

Actually, some judges DO take notes, and good ones; some don't. However, it doesn't matter as the judge's previous "threats" are not actually binding unless they are part of an actual order of the court.

I have never seen a judge take a single note. If your court has not had a transcriptionist maybe they were recording the procedings. That is how it worked in our court room sessions against the Sperm Clan.

We have dozens of micro cassettes of the court procedings. We have had to have occassional pages transcribed by a licensed court reporter so we could drive enforcement and correction of the CO when the Sperm Clan manipulated or vilated and the Judge forgot a specific element of their ruling.

Ask if you can get a copy of the recordings if they were done.

Good luck.
