It isn't often that you see people posting happy things up here so I just wanted to throw something positive on this site. I've been so happy at how much my children love and care for one another. I have been working hard to teach them that you are sisters and that makes you a team and the best friends you will ever have will be your sisters. You will live with them and play with them and fight with them and grow with them. You will cry over boyfriends with them, celebrate victories with them, protect them from crazy girls. It touches my heart to see how they are connected to one another even through everything.
Also it touches my heart to know that most of the problems that my kids have they have because they are kids. I am so thankful when my family gets to be together and had I never had to opportunity to be the second wife or evil step mother or part of a blended family I would never fully understand the importance of family. I hope to be able to teach my children to be picky when choosing their spouse and their friends and to always remember the things that are important. That money doesn't mean as much as everyone seems to think it means.
I'm thankful for my husband who drives me crazy in good ways and bad ways sometimes. I'm thankful that he doesn't care about things that I care way too much about because he teaches me things that I wouldn't have learned had I not had the wonderful chance to be his wife. We are looking forward to our family vacation this summer, even though it will be a broke vacation, we always look forward to the memories that we get to build this summer.
I would love to hear about any family memories that any of you have done together so that maybe I can get some good ideas for things in the future.
