Too soon to hope?

I have definitely had my trials with SD12 in the past. I can handle the tween attitude and drama, I had a large dose of it myself. Happy my mom let me keep my teeth. Smile SO has had SD12 for just about 3 weeks now. He had her his normal week, then his family had a camping trip so she went back to BM for 3 days, then him for 11 days.

I have to say, minus the normal attitude, she was pleasant to have! She had some trouble getting the part about everyone helping while camping, but she's had things done for her in the past, so it's a learning experience. She helped with dishes, wanted to spend time with just me. When picking out her school stuff, she wanted tank tops like i wear, and camo stuff if she could find it. (I love camo) At first I was thinking, is she trying to be a mini-me? However, she wasn't trying to grab more of her dad's attention, she was excited to be "like me". I even gave her one of my computer messenger bags for school, she told her dad "Look! I'm a little Noidea!" Between her mom and I, please, please let her be like me. Not to say I'm a perfect person, but at least i'm not a bi-polar, pot-smoking, lying, crazy b!#$h! I would say that BM's BF spends more time with SD12, then BM. Which is sad to me.

Thinking this change came about from spending so much time with us, rather then the normal one week on, one week off. Hoping that some of it will still be there when she comes back Monday. Super happy with SO too! He's finally realized, that being a little stricter, gives you a more well-balanced kid!
