Troubled teen advice needed
I have a stepson that is 16 and he's heading into a very bad direction.
A year ago on Christmas night he was arrested for having a bag of pot but the
his case was dismissed with no punishment. Now he was arrested again 2 weeks
ago for possession with attend to sell. He was turned in by his mother. Now he brought
pot into my home and his father, my husband, confronted him and he wouldn't say anything
and I told my husband it needed to be reported. He told me to call the police dept. and I did
and his son left our house before the cops got here. No one has been able to find him since he
took off. I am very against drugs and everyone that is around me knows this due to losing my
brother a couple of years ago from a drug overdose. My husband hasn't spoken but a few words
since this happened on Monday and his mother hasnt even called to see if he's been found. I believe
she maybe hiding him out. What do I do? I told my husband he should be going to everyone one of his
known friends houses and let each parent know he's missing. But he doesn't say anything to me. I feel he blames me.
Crystal you did the right
Crystal you did the right thing and I applaud you for it. Your dh is probably digesting all of this but I would keep talking to him about it because he is probably dealing with a range of emotions including guilt, failure, and disappointment. Have you notified the school? Does he have a cell phone with gps tracking? Are the police looking for him to inquire about the drugs in your house? He'll turn up, likely at BMs if not already. Keep talking to DH. It's not your fault and DH knows it. I feel terrible for you. My ss did the same things only DH and BM didn't have the balls to turn him in which he clearly needed. (((hug)))
I'm new to this what is DH? I
I'm new to this what is DH? I called the police dept this morning they have him registered nationwide as missing. The officer even left him a voicemail on his phone about him needing to turn himself in or he will recommend him be charged as an adult. Spoke with BM and says she's left him text and VM and still no word. His cell is prepaid cause I took his away from skipping school so his mom got him prepaid so he wouldnt take hers. School was notified but we all know he's not going to go cause SRO will retain him for the cops. But I know he's somewhat ok I called him from a friends phone and he called back and once he heard a voice he hung up. Thanks for the reassurance.
DH = Dear Husband, Darling
DH = Dear Husband, Darling Husband, etc... If you go to the FAQ they address a lot of the abbreviations used on this sight.
Well - he is likely at a friends house then. Either the parents have no idea (hmmm, doubtful) or they are crappy parents. Or, he is hanging out with "friends" that are old enough to live on their own.
Does he have a car? I'm glad he at least answered someone's phone so you know he is somewhat Ok.
You should consider sending
You should consider sending him to a military school after all he only has two years left before he becomes an adult. This is his only chance because after he is 18 he will be going to jail with real criminals where the only thing that he is going to learn is how to be a profesional crimilal ( try to convince the mother do not leave her out of the decision making)
My SS got caught with weed at
My SS got caught with weed at school.... when he went to court my DH asked the courts to put him in boot camp... along with other punishments..... he was no longer aloud to really do anything (to an extent)until his probabtion was over.... include get his learners. He went to his BM and put us thru the mud..... how we are just so horrible to him and she refused to send him back.... now he's flunking out and possibly going to end up in jail. DH went to his p.o to see what could be done.... and she said that my DH can go to court to try to get it dismissed so it won't bite him in the ass later so he is. But my husband told her to keep him he has tried to teach him right from wrong hopefully he got it.... if not oh well he's washing his hands with it.
