Nightmare!!!
Forums:
A few nights ago I had a nightmare that my SS15 came into our bedroom when we were sleeping and shot DH, me, and my 5 month old baby. Is this some sort of processing, or should I truly be concerned?? This is NOT the first time I've had a dream/thought like this, and recently I've been pushing to get SS15 out of the house and living with his mom, at least during the week...
Yikes! Is he violent towards
Yikes! Is he violent towards you or the baby?
No... but he's kind of a
No... but he's kind of a loner, doesn't seem to have many friends. Barely talks to us. He hates being at our house b/c his mom let's him do whatever he wants there. I'm just waiting for him to snap!
I hate when SheSloth invades
I hate when SheSloth invades my dreams! Now, I've never had anything violent like you are describing, but it is usually stuff like I wake up, and she is still at the house pretending to be sick (instead of at school) and DH is all waiting on the princess hand and foot, or I come home and the house is totally trashed and DH and I get into a huge argument over it, etc. I wake up thinking, "Ugh! I can't even escape her when I'm asleep!"
You say your skid is kind of a loaner and such. Maybe that is what is triggering in your subconscious all of your concerns, as it always seems in the media the quite loaner kids are the ones that snap and do something stupid?
I've had similar. My
I've had similar. My solution was to put a lock on our bedroom door.
Sad thing is, locks on
Sad thing is, locks on parent's bedrooms are becoming the norm these days. Not so much because of fear of violence, but because parents aren't parenting! I have to have a lock on our door because I don't trust SheSloth to stay out of our stuff! She is the kind that just helps herself to things, and I'm not about to have her helping herself to my clothing, makeup, etc. Anything we don't want SheSloth to have access to we have to hide in our room, because DH will not put his food down about anything! My bios understood that what mine was mine, what was theirs was theirs...unless they were in trouble, then theirs could very easily become mine! My parents never had to have a lock on their bedroom door, as I understood this same thing...their room was off limits. But not kids these days!
Yeah, SheSloth has no
Yeah, SheSloth has no consideration when it comes to other people's stuff! BS19 left his stereo in the workout room one day, she decided she could just use it because it was there, along with MY exercise equipment (which BS19 already asked permission to use, which I had no problem giving because I knew he knew how to use everything properly). I was actually shocked when she had her most recent iPod (which ended up broken in like 3 months) that she didn't try to use my speaker dock that is in there! Portable DVD player of mine and DH's was broken, because she just used it whenever...she didn't even bother to tell us it was broken. Kept it in her room for the longest time, and then didn't say a word when DH saw it and took it back. She has lost cases to our DVDs that she didn't even ask if she could borrow, etc.
I get totally irked when DH calls SheSloth in our room to talk to her about something! You want to talk to her, go to her and talk...don't bring her into my private space! He also used to send her into our room to get things for him, which I put an end to really quick!
Same way with my parents, I
Same way with my parents, I barely ever went in their bedroom... and just this morning after DH left for work early (I.had to drop SS10 off at school), SS10 came into my bedroom 3 times. Once to say good morning, which would've been sweet, if I.wasn't breastfeeding my 5 month old in bed! Then again 10 minutes later to tell me the dishwasher door might be broken. I said I'm kinda busy, tell your dad when he gets home. Getting a lock this weekend!!!
