Diagnosis
My SD8, is still on therapy (24 months), with no a real diagnosis. The psychologist said it could be selective mutism + something else ???
There was some improvements, as she began to answer to me: only yes or no, or some tiny details.
But since June she has new symptoms: night terrors (she screams like in a scary movie at night), she still pees on her pants at school and the latest: she hurts herself. She touches and scratches her ear, until it bleeds.
So I sent a message to the psychologist about the bleeding, and she will have a new appointment with my husband ASAP.
I know I am not the mother, but if they do not do nothing, I feel I have some responsibilities with this girl.
BM is almost out of the picture, as she sees her BD twice or 3 times a week.
Anyone has seen these symptoms in kids: such as night terrors, incontinence and self harm?
she also has communication problems (a kind of selective mutism, not confirmed by the psychologist), panic attacks, temper tantrums and negativism.

That is actually a lot of time for a NCP to see their child. Most often it's EOWE and maybe one weeknight.
Regardless, you need to put this into your DH's and the BM's hands and let them deal with it. It's great you're trying to get your SD some help, but if you're having to force the bio-parents to act then you're fighting a losing battle.
There used to be another SM on here that had an SS with horrible bowel and diet issues. Bio-parents ignored the doctor's advice and the symptoms worsened. The SM was the only one taking him to appointments, trying to get everyone to stick to his restrictive diet, and following through on retraining to deal with the physical repercussions. Her DH was the CP and their SS lived with them, and he still fought her every step of the way.
As much as you want to help your SD, there is only so much you can do for her, until the bio-parents open their eyes and get her some help. And then follow through on the treatment.

Thank you for your comment!!
You are right that I am fighting a losing, but I am concern about the well-being of my two little kids.
Kids with a mental disability usually are aggressive or violent, so I am in a way protecting my sons.
I hope my DH can truly understand the danger of the situation and act ASAP.

Dear Just a mom,
There was no feedback at all this year. My DH will meet the psychologist next week to hear the news.
I am kind of disoriented with the self-harm, but I do agree with OCD & anxiety. I do also think she is depressed. But as I said, we have not heard a diagnosis yet.
Also night terrors are more frequently, and all the yelling awake my babies and make them nervous.
I will post what the psychologist says next week Thank you for your words
thank you!! I will get the
thank you!! I will get the book for sure
Meanwhile, we will wait until the psychologist says what is going on.
This week SD will not be coming home. She will travel with her mom and boyfriend to the coast.
Let you know the news
Have a great week
