Advice on hiring nanny for my step son

Hi all,
I’m new to this community and I’m in need of some useful information. I have a step son who is 3 years old and both me and my wife are working. We are not getting enough time to look after the kid, and he doesn’t like to spend time in daycare. We tried it once and failed. Now we are planning to hire a nanny from a nanny placement agency in Calgary called Diamond Personnel( http://www.diamondpersonnel.com/ )to look after him. Does anyone here have hired a nanny for your stepson? Will that work?

I would look at a efferent daycare perhaps. Or maybe care.com. I have had a lot of luck with finding babysitters on that site.

He doesn't like his day care. He's three.
He has no idea about good and bad day care.
He may not like it because they are making him follow rules.
He may not like it because someone told him no.
He may just be saying he doesn't like it because he can.

You need to look at the day care and evaluate it before you jump off into nanny land.
He's three. He doesn't get to pick the day care.
What will you do if he doesn't like the nanny?

There are usually day care choices in an area. Visit several and pick the one you like the best. You are the adult. You chose the day care.
