I just have to laugh...
First let me say that I am new to ST, and boy what a gift from heaven! I wish I had known about this site when it was created. My DH and I are not alone. YEA!!!!!!!
Anyway, I just have to laugh about the term "Disneyland Dad" that I saw in a recent post. BM once angrily commented to DH that my skids were "alway hoping to have had a Disneyland Dad but they were disappointed"! She thinks it's a GOOD thing! OMG.
Anyway, thanks to all of you bloggers/commenters, I no longer have to wonder why our blended family did not turn out like I thought it would. (That's an understatement....)
I have so many stories jumbled up inside that they just can't come out yet, and yes, we currently have adult skid issues popping up all the time.
Just thought you all could appreciate the humor surrounding "Disneyland Dad"!

Welcome uptohere! I felt
Welcome uptohere! I felt the same way about ST when I found this site. It was a saving grace for me - and that was about 2 months ago or so. I learned that I am not alone and that there are many other women (and even men) out there willing to give you advice, support you, or just listen to you vent when something drives you NUTS.
Hey, thanks for the welcome.
Hey, thanks for the welcome. After yet another incredibly crappy holiday with skids and all the issues, I finally found this site. Who knew!!!! We'll never let our holidays turn out like that again!!!
Yes, BBB, I have frequently had violent thoughts toward BM for all of her PA campaign which worked, unfortunately. (I'm so proud I know what PAS is now! : ) )
