We celebrated DH's 60th birthday a week ago. I'm huge on birthdays and celebrations, and threw him a nice dinner for his family and close friends.

Out of his three children, only SD29 attended as she's the only one in our country. SS32 and SS24 live in another country.

SS29 spent the dinner canvassing the guests to come to oher wedding in December. But she did it quite discreetly, so I didn't mind in the least.

SS32, however, called DH in the middle of the dinner, asked to be put on speaker phone so that he could announce that he was expecting baby #2 with his wife.

He could have told DH about it when they spoke on the phone the day before, but noooo... He had to announce it to everyone during the birthday dinner I threw for DH. Pissing contest much?

What made me laugh was that SS32 was on speaker and obviously wanted to make his announcement to the whole room, but DH's 93yo father kept talking over SS32, and his "announcement" was thwarted when the old man hung up on him. LOL
