He can go weeks without talking to my kids. We had a huge fight yesterday about allowing YSD to talk about me to him. All day today he's been acting like stepfather of the year...offering to help my kids with their laundry, having smiling and animated conversations with them. I believe one word for this is crazymaking.

Two words for it are "Family Envy", italmostworked. It's Father's Day. He doesn't feel validated by his own offspring. But he knows yours will treat him right cos you brought them up right. It's a backhanded compliment but a real compliment, nonetheless. Bask!

Well, if it were only that, great, but he did have fun with his own bios earlier today. He just carries on pretending there is no problem. I asked him about it once, wondering how he can be so happy after what just happened and he basically told me he refuses to be unhappy.
