Visiting SS recap, not all good
SS was still pretty cold with his father. I could tell he was trying not to show it, but it was noticeable to me. I am not sure how much of it my husband noticed. On Sunday, SS invited a few friends he made in the building for lunch. It was great to meet them. They were all very nice and polite. I hope SS continues to have nice people around him. SS made asparagus, ham and mashed potatoes. Have I mentioned how amazing he cooks?
After the lunch, it was us three again. SS had some documents with him for us to sign. It was about his will and guardianship of Sarah. We looked over them and discussed a few things. SS began telling us how he wished Sarah to be raised. We were two old coots being lectured on parenting. I guess we kind of needed it. He was very reasonable. Good discipline, getting good grades, and college would be Sarah's only option. And no boys until she turns 18, haha. We told him we would make sure his wishes were followed. And then we left. I got a hug from SS. My husband got a handshake. My husband was very dissapointed. But I do not know how much longer SS will be cold with his father. SS has quite a temper and I do not know if he will forget all the years of anger he has held against his father. I just pray it will get better in time.
I was not able to post this as a blog for some reason. So I did a forum post instead. Is that fine?
