therapy session this afternoon

SS11 has been more than a handful over the past few years. We thought medicatingh is ADHD would provide some relief, but its been minimal. He's recently begun therapy with an ADHD specialist, and has several sessions under his belt - some alone, and some with DH. I've been asked to attend this afternoon and I have no idea what to expect. My biggest fear is that I'll say something that ultimately gets me in trouble at home. Any words of wisdom on what to expect and not end up in the doghouse?

Listen more than speak.
You are not the specialist ~ be a sponge not a voice.
This is all very new to you ~ educate yourself.

You'll do fine !!

Use your inside voice ~ speak in your head first before you speak out loud.

My best advice would be to ACT NORMAL. The counselor cannot give helpful recommendations if you change the way you normally act. That applies to EVERYONE...not just you.
