Stepparent/Stepchild Survey

For my writing class, I'm doing a study on the relationship between stepparents and stepchildren in relation to the biological parent. Hi Ryandu,

I completed the survey, but it only asked whether I had a stepson, stepdaughter or neither. It did not give an option for both stepdaughter and stepson (didn't affect me, but I just noticed).

I completed the survey, but you may want to consider ages of the kids involved?

I'm not comfortable discussing sex and drugs with my SDs; not because it's a tough subject, but because they are only 4 and 6yo.

I have both a SS & an SD living with me, so a "both" option would have been better. Also, I think that having an age question would help because some of the questions wouldn't apply, depending on the children.

I did both surveys but as an adult step-child with a Stepdad who is pretty much my own age (they've been married for 6 years now), I wouldn't discuss anything personal with him aside from the basic/general stuff that I would share with anyone else. When parents of grown Step-kids get married would be a big factor...my XStep-dad however was there for my entire youth & I talked about pretty much everything with him & still do when we talk.
